Eleanor's Book Review

Breaking Dawn

By Stephenie Meyer

Illustrated by Stephenie Meyer (Only illustration is front cover)

This book is about Bella turning into a vampire and is the 4th book to the Twilight Saga (sequel to Eclipse, and Eclipse is the sequel to New Moon, which is the sequel to Twilight, the first book) This book (which is over 756 pgs. long) is divided into 3 mini (well, not exactly mini) books. The first mini book is written from the perspective of Bella. The second mini book is from the perspective of Jacob, and the third mini book is again, from the perspective of Bella. In this book Bella and Edward also get married and have a child, and they had a child when Bella was human...Bella also has a vampire gift and so does her child even tho the child is half human, but of course, I'm not telling you the powers!

My favorite character is Bella, because i think she's awesome and she has cool powers! She even develops one through practice, and this become a vital power to protect her loved ones...including liked ones.

I liked this book because it is very interesting, and kinda funny. Its very page turning, and i know that people that will enjoy it. But if they don't...that's their opinion.

Same reason as before, you should read this book because its almost a blend of mystery and a bit of comedy. Its also has a bit of romance. Well anyways, this book is very interesting and page turning and i read all night to finish it because of all the suspense, so please read this book. I'm sure you'll enjoy it

Wintergirls Book Review

Wintergirls--Laurie Halse Anderson; Genre: Realistic
Review by Mrs. Lott 10/6/09
Lia tries to come to terms with her best friend’s death from an eating disorder, but also struggles with the same condition. Cassie called Lia thirty-three times the night of her death, but Lia didn’t answer her calls. Lia has to face the ghost of Cassie and her own demons while drowning in her own self loathing and guilt over Cassie’s death. Lia plunges even further into her death spiral of anorexia and cutting. This is a very disturbing, but realistic journey of a teen with an eating disorder. I would recommend this book for 8th grade girls.
